Green Wall at the lobby: The green wall features 3,600 Sansevieria Trifasciata plants also known as mother-in-law's tongue or Snake Plants. In China, the plants are known as huwěilán (虎尾蘭). It helps reducing the velocity of mechanical air handling and creates a healthier environment for hotel guests and visitors.

Bamboo walling and flooring: Bamboo is a sustainable material which can be easily and quickly re-grow without destroying the plant. Locally harvested bamboo walling and flooring are friendly to the environment as bamboo's resilience requires less refinishing compared with hard wood

Sustainable food options: 'Greener' choices are provided in banqueting and restaurants. Guests can choose alternative dishes to replace shark's fin soup so that a balance between Chinese tradition and environmental concerns can be achieved. Yagura, our Japanese restaurant takes the lead in stopping the sale of blue fin tuna which is an endangered species due to overfishing.We also teams up with World Wide Fund Hong Kong (WWF) to launch the "Love the Ocean" Sustainable Seafood Wedding Menu, in which sustainably-harvested seafood were chosen according to the WWF-Hong Kong's Seafood Guide.

Green Festive Season: It is our tradition to design and construct our Christmas tree made from recyclable materials, such as newspaper, plastic bottles, toilet paper rolls, cardboards and damaged furniture.

Food donation: We work with Foodlink Foundation Limited and Food Angel in Hong Kong to provide food to needy on a regular basis and to reduce food waste.
