Eaton, Hong Kong has been striving to reduce our wastage and minimize our impact on the environment. Our results for the past 12 months are as follow: ENERGY CONSUMPTION Our average energy consumption was 107.4MJ per guest night. This was a much better performance than both EarthCheck’s best practice recommendation of 157MJ per guest night and the hotel industry average of 224MJ per guest night.

WATER CONSUMPTION
With 266.8 litres of water used per guest night, we used less water than EarthCheck’s best practice recommendation of 290 litres per guest night and came in well under the 415 litres of water per guest night, which is the industry average.



WATER SAVINGS
EarthCheck provides each hotel a mark out of 100 points based on your initiatives to reduce water wastage – the higher the better. We scored 81.1 points. EarthCheck’s best practice recommendation is 80 points meanwhile the industry average is 50.



RECYCLING
Once again this is based on points out of 100 given by EarthCheck, the higher the better. We achieved 66.2 points. EarthCheck’s best practice recommendation is 80 points meanwhile the industry average is 50.
