Eaton, Hong Kong launches “Green Monday” Menu to save the planet!
(June 2013, Hong Kong) – Eaton, Hong Kong teams up with the social enterprise “Green Monday” to launch the first Green Monday menu in Chinese, Japanese and Western restaurants.
“Green Monday” is a non-profit organisation encouraging healthy and environmentally friendly living in Hong Kong and its pioneer project is to go “meatless on Monday” as a means to reduce carbon footprint whilst improving once health.
In supporting the meaningful “Green Monday” initiative, outlets of Eaton, Hong Kong including award-winning Chinese restaurant Yat Tung Heen, Izakaya-style Japanese restaurant Yagura and al-fresco dining restaurant T Garden and T Bar offers a variety of vegetarian food options every Monday!
To further save our planet, each of the green menus is designed according to the concept of low carbon diet in which local, seasonal and sustainable food ingredients are used in the menu to reduce excess carbon emissions and lower the carbon footprint.
Yat Tung Heen
Dim Sum in Green Style!
Award-winning Yat Tung Culinary team has introduced the brand-new green concept into the traditional Chinese delicacies. An array of green dim sums (HK$36 each) is offered during lunch hour every Monday, such as Dumplings with Melon Paste and Vegetables, Deep-fried Rice Roll with Green Salad and Streamed Rice Flour Roll with Vegetables. Other mouth-watering vegetarian options including Winter Melon and Bamboo Piths in Superior Soup (HK$80 each), Stir-fried Celery and Water Chestnut with Black Truffle (HK$138), Sautéed Assorted Mushrooms and Fungi in Whole Green Pepper (HK$138) and more.
